Mares Genius Dive Computer
The Mares Genius Dive Computer has been designed to suit any diver, no matter the experience or the conditions. This colour screen dive computer is perfect whether you dive air, nitrox EANx or Trimix. The large backlit colour screen is colour coded to tell you exactly what you need to know and draw your attention to key information as it changes.
Where to start with this outstanding computer? Well let’s start with the battery. 18650 Li-Ion, it has a 40 hour burn time, more than enough for a few days diving without getting a full recharge. This high quality battery has 500 recharge cycles and the smart battery technology means it will be able to keep going dive after dive.
The computer has a full colour high resolution display which is super clear even when sunny. Easy to spot at a glance, the computer also has a night mode which is easier on the eyes and can be seen more effectively at night. The clear display has large numbers and icons to make sure it is always easy to read.
The underwater menu also allows for certain settings to be changed during the dive, allowing for unparalleled versatility. You can also view the map during your dive, great for seeing where abouts in the water you are, which could be essential in an emergency situation.
The computer has a bottom timer mode with resettable average depth and stopwatch, keeping you right while at bottom while also allowing you to track your data across dives. This can also be done thanks to the brilliant logbook which has multiple graphs for you to track your dives.
The logbook capacity is an eye-watering 1000 hours of diving with a 5-second sampling rate, giving you prompt, accurate statistics. All of this can be uploaded directly to your smartphone via Bluetooth and viewed easily.
The Genius also has capability to pair with up to five different Smart Transmitters (not included). This allows for hoseless tank data integration, making your life easier and your dive set-up less cluttered. The tank pressure is colour coded for at-a-glance readability.
The watch also has a decompression dive planner with additional surface interval function to allow you to plan your dives safely and correctly. A full tilt digital compass with bearing memory and stopwatch show just how much this computer does for you.
The Genius is Nitrox and Trimix capable, and can take up to five different gases. In terms of Nitrox is can take EAN from 21% to 99% and can use Trimix Hypoxic or Normoxic.
